What is one die short?
"One Die Short began more than 2 years ago as a webcomic about a group of Dungeons & Dragons players (who also play other games like Magic: the Gathering). It was created by Matt Forcella, and is a true labor of love. It is inspired by [his] own life and experiences as a Dungeon Master of nearly 20 years, and is psuedo-autobiographical.
The comic follows a group of friends through their humorous experiences around the gaming table as they navigate themselves, their relationships and the world of roleplaying, while also following the fantasy lives of their in-game characters; something that will make the show unique and exciting!”
I REALLY care about this project and I want it to be a success–– it’s a fantastic comic that is a valuable tool in breaking stereotypes and it’s HILARIOUS, well drawn and others. It’s going to be a fantastic live-action film series, too! This show and the people involved in its production will make a huge impact on the table-top roleplaying community and the perception thereof, but more importantly, it’s going to be fucking awesome!
Here comes the scary part. My dear friends behind One Die Short only have 67 hours to raise 1,576 dollars and reach their goal so they can get funded!
SO HERE’S THE DEAL:
On TOP of the appropriate perks listed in the kickstarter, everyone who pledges more than $1 and sends me a message about it will get all of the following in the event that the kickstarter reaches its goal and the project gets funded.
- A custom theme
- A promo to all 112 of my followers (gasp)
- A D&D and a One Die Short related 1” pinback button (you need to give me your mailing address for this one)
If you pledge more than $500 and the project gets funded you get the appropriate perks and I will knit you a garment or something, as well as the things listed above. It doesn’t have to be one die short or d&d related but that would make it more fun for me) you would help me pick out a pattern and everything, you would also have to send me your measurements. I’d be willing to spend up to $125 in yarn per every $500 donation. and so on.
